RE: Ohio Rallies for 2009

Fred, I would gladly accept the nomination, except I want to be KING!!! Just give me one day. I'd straighten out the world. Oh, and Steve, thanks for that "ringing" endorsement, I think! KING....???? ...and dethrone Elvis? How could you???? I was thinking KING as the "King and I". Could you see Larry dressed up and bald like Ule Brenner. :B I was thinking more along the lines of megalomaniac! :C

Let's lay off the sales force until sales improve, then we can afford to hire them back!! :h

RE: Ohio Rallies for 2009

PHYSICIANS: a. The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000. b. Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year are 120,000. c. Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171 (statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services) NOW THINK ABOUT THIS... GUNS: a. The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. b. The number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups) is 1,500. c. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.000188. Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners. Remember: "Guns don't kill people, doctors do!" FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR. Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!!!!!! Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention. It's a vicious cycle. :E

RE: AE Systems Awning hardware needed

I had a 1997 Coachmen a couple of years ago and had a broken part on my a&e. I called a&e and they sent it to me for free. Might be worth a try.

RE: Which is better?

Since you are asking for opinions, we spent a week at Assateague last year (the national park) and I still say it was the best vacation we ever had for relaxing. The national park campground is totally dry camping, with no hookups. If you want something, you better bring it with you. But you see wild ponies walking through your campsite, foxes, weasels, deer, etc. all around. The huge beach is about 2 minutes walking time away and there is NOBODY on it. Miles of sand and the ocean roar at night. Of course the weather was perfect also. If you want electricity, check out the state park campground too, except they do not permit pets.

RE: Would you buy this motorhome?

well, the auction ended with a high bid of $27,000 which did not make the reserve, so I guess the insurance company won that round. Maybe next time it goes up I will have the courage to do it.

Considering the team they played, the Browns played a very good defensive game. One miscue cost them the game. Can't take anything away from the Colt's defense, they won the game. Brown's first and second QB hurt, total lack of enthusiasm on offense. Maybe Cowher will fire them up next year??

Robin, congrats to the Steelers for their victory over the Pats. I don't like the Steelers, but that is insignificant next to my feelings towards Belichik.

RE: Would you buy this motorhome?

If you click on the additional photos and information button, and then scroll down to the bidding information section, it says the reserve has not been met.

RE: New inverter-question about charging scheme

The existing inverter only powers one half of the existing breaker panel. Since we dry camp, and plan to do more in the future, this presents an inconvenience because only half the outlets in the coach are powered. Installing a second inverter does not necessarily mean a significant increase in load on the coach batteries, it is merely a convenience. I recognize that the Intellitec system has "issues". It gets to be a problem when the charge controller has to sense the voltage of each of the two battery banks and decide which to charge. I've spent time on the phone talking with the factory engineers about this and it comes down to differences of opinion between Intellitec and Magnum as to when to switch the charger onto a battery. The difference is about .1 volt. Sometimes this arguement between Intellitec and Magnum equipment is settled by ignoring the chassis battery and letting it go dead. It is a problem that neither company wishes to address, nor solve. My somewhat tacky solution is to shut down the chassis battery switch for a few minutes, then turn it back on. When I do this, the Intellitec says, "hey, a new load, let's charge it!!". And my chassis battery is now handled properly. I see the problem where the only batteries that can be charged are the ones connected to the inverter. That is a problem that does not seem to have a solution. Oh well, the inverter without the charger circuitry is cheaper anyway. :(

RE: Steering Wheel Positioning

Among all those who post here, there is millions of dollars worth of equipment. The servers cost thousands of dollars. We're discussing how we sit in the driver's seat and where we put our arms. The weather must be keeping everyone inside causing severe bouts of cabin fever. I'm gonna start a thread about the songs on the radio that go well with the tempo of the windshield wipers. Janice Joplin!!

New inverter-question about charging scheme

I presently have a 2500 watt Magnum inverter/charger in my coach which powers one side of the AC breaker panel and am thinking of adding a second inverter to power the other side of the breaker panel. The Magnum also charges both my chassis and my coach batteries through an Intellitec controller. The Intellitec chooses which batteries to charge based on the sensed battery voltage. I am thinking that if I install the second inverter/charger, I could use the second charger to charge the chassis batteries, the original charger to charge the coach batteries, and eliminate the Intellitec controller. I don't like the Intellitec system because of the goofy priority sensing system which occasionally leaves the chassis battery uncharged and would like to eliminate it. Would this work, or am I missing something simple?
